Hillsborough
refresh
This home was built in the 80s and featured deep skylights throughout, low ceilings, and dark finishes. These elements created a space that felt cramped and enclosed.
The client's goal was to refresh and modernize their primary suite, secondary bathroom and powder room. To create a bright and spacious primary bedroom the false ceiling was removed which opened up the space to an airy pitched ceiling. A new, slim, frameless fireplace surrounded in limestone with white oak built-ins on either side created a focal point of calm and relaxation. A neutral palette was adopted to complete the look.
Maintaining a continuous theme for both bathrooms, we replaced the dated cabinets and tiles with custom white oak cabinetry and light wall tiles. The hardware and sconces were selected in a polished nickel finish to add a touch of sophistication. The powder room’s deep marble vanity combined with shimmering wallpaper create an elevated, glamorous space for client and visitors to enjoy alike.
